Quercetin is a a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols. It is found in many fruits, vegetables, leaves, seeds, and grains.
Bromelain is a group of enzymes that break down proteins. These enzymes are found in the stem and fruit of the pineapple plant. Pineapple was traditionally used for medicinal purposes in South and Central America.
Quercetin & Bromelain is safe for most people when taken by mouth short-term.
Quercetin & Bromelain can cause headaches and tingling of the arms and legs. Very high doses might cause kidney damage.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There isn't enough reliable information to know if quercetin is safe to use when pregnant or breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
Kidney problems: Quercetin might make kidney problems worse. Don't use quercetin if you have kidney problems.
