"Efficacy and safety of curcumin and its combination with boswellic acid in osteoarthritis: a comparative, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study."

The purpose of this study was to highlight the anti-inflammatory potential of Curcumin and Boswellia.

  • 201 patients participated in this clinical trial.
  • Groups took turmeric rhizome with turmeric volatile oil, turmeric combined with boswellic acid, or a placebo.
  • The trial period lasted for 12 weeks.
  • Results showed that 12-week use of curcumin complex and curcumin complex with boswellic acid can reduce pain associated with osteoarthritis.
